  The boy is dissatisfied with his gifts because he doesn’t actually do his own laundry so he just throws his dirty clothes on the floor, and his Mom picks them up and takes them downstairs to the laundry  room.

  2/ Why did his mother think the Laundry Hoop was a great idea?

  His mother thought the Laundry Hoop was a great idea because she said that from now on Gregory would be doing his own laundry.
